Gastronomy often plays an important part of a holiday.
And so, you can choose between our two restaurants:

Cuisine is an art that moves across people, time and countries, and the Délices de Zahra restaurant echoes this as it brings together dishes, flavours, savours, colours and textures which truly echo collations from all cultural horizons.

You will travel to the four corners of the world during a simple menu du jour at the Délices de Zahra, from Morocco to the Lebanon, to Greece and Vietnam, from Mexico to France thanks to Chef Nourredine and his team. We are spoilt in Essaouira, our splendid markets allow us produce outstanding meals from great quality products.

Our fruit, vegetables, spices, meats, fish and shellfish are handpicked with the greatest care so that each gives of its best to each meal.

Les Délices de Zahra on the ground floor of the Riad Zahra, is decorated in traditional Moroccan style. Here you may choose:

• Traditional Moroccan dishes : tagines of the day, spiced meat kebabs, couscous, pastillas…
• Asian style dishes prepared in woks : vegetarian, shellfish, fish, chicken…
• Varied international dishes : salads, pâtes, hamburgers, some adapted for children

And if we know that you may have food allergies, we will take special care.

Grilling dishes on glowing embers was at the base of all cookery, and is an art our Chef Mohammed has mastered perfectly.
Here on the second floor of the Riad Zahra with an ocean view Mediterranean cuisine is to the fore.
Paëllas, lobster or prawns, sea fish, shellfish, meat …
At the heart of our cuisine are the superb natural products, which give out all their savours under the embers’ influence, sharing their aromas with the grills and the products cooked on them.
Jofre will help you choose dishes that are just right for you and will help you choose wines to match them.
